SEAT BELTS

I'm surprised that this Idea hasn't been brought up in the past. There are reasons for seat belts. So why not have seat belts on school buses? Seat belts nsure safety if you're in an accident. It's also law for people to always wear seatbelts in the car. Without them there would be so many more deaths.

Seat belts were put in cars for a very good reason. That reason is safety. many kids ride buses. If there happened to be an accident, there would be a number of injuries and possible deaths that could of been prevented by a seat belt for ever kid. They might bother your neck or wrinkle you clothes, but they save your life just as well.

The law states that while in a car a seat belt should be worn, but not in a bus? About thirty-five kids ride a bus. That is thirty-five kids in danger. Even though I may not ride a bus, I'm pretty sure I'd feel a lot safer with seat belts.

Accident can happen anytime and anywhere. Depending on how bad the accident is, there could be deaths involved. So just riding to and from school without a seat belt is a risk. My mom once told me that cars kill more than guns have. To me, that's very scary just thinking about it.

For about two hundred fifty days a year kids ride a bus to and from school. I think those kids have the right to be safe on those two short rides a day. So seat belts should be a yes in school buses. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

REFLECTION:
In this piece of writing I love how I use my persausive voice. It shows me that I have potential to go from Kix to Captain Crunch in my writing. This shows me that I've already grown as a writer from last year. To me, I feel like this could catch many peoples attention. I'm proud of this piece.
